We have vacancies
Seaview is home to six adults with a moderate learning disability. It is a large, warm and comfortable home offering generous sized rooms, set on the white cliffs overlooking the English Channel. We can support people who have learning disabilities and complex behavioural, emotional and communication needs.
Supporting you
The home specialises in supporting people with Prader-Willi Syndrome and management of other food related matters. The home also supports people with type 2 diabetes. Our residents benefit from a personalised care package, person-centred care plans and positive behavioural support plans, ensuring individuals receive consistent positive support. Each resident is encouraged to devise and engage in a weekly programme of activities to include opportunities for education, leisure, social and fun activities. We also develop independent living skills such as budgeting, cooking and travelling independently as well as health and safety within the home and wider community.
Our specialisms
Our Commitment to Quality
Our registered services are regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in England and the Care Inspectorate in Scotland and Wales. As a sector-leading provider, we are dedicated to delivering high-quality, safe, and effective care and support that you can trust.
Community
Capel-Le-Ferne is a small cliff top village between Folkestone and Dover, with a good public transport system with regular buses to the towns. We are part of the village community and have developed good ‘ties’ within the community and the people we support are ‘regulars’ at the local church, café and pubs.
We are five minutes from the supermarket and only a ten minute drive from Folkestone Harbour. With historic places of interest just on our doorstep, scenic coastline views and walks, beaches and attractions on the nearby coast and good leisure facilities within the area, the people we support and their visitors also benefit from nearby Ashford’s high speed rail links to London as well as good motorway links.
Our Team
The home manager has 18 years’ experience of working with people with learning disabilities and is passionate and committed. Prader-Willi syndrome training is provided by the PWSA, to which we hold membership. We benefit from the good relationships that have been established within the Community Learning Disabilities Team and have access to specialist healthcare professionals within the immediate area as required.
