We provide high quality person-centred care and support to nine people who have a learning disability and/or an associated physical disability and/or complex needs.
Supporting you
We are located close to Walsall town centre. We focus on enablement to promote independence and improve communication and social skills. We understand the importance of each person’s relationships with their families and friends and encourage visits at any reasonable time. We also provide staff support and transport for visits to the family home.
We have set up a forum group “Sadlers Together Forum” made up of residents, family, staff and outside professionals. The forum was set up to help support Sadlers Place move forward and is actively seeking new ideas and approaches. The forum group meets every three months.
Facilities
We have a number of shared areas, giving the choice of socialising, spending time alone relaxing or taking part in the varied programme of activities. There is a spacious lounge, a fully-equipped multi-sensory room and a large activity room. The nine bedrooms all have high specification ensuite facilities with ceiling tracking for those who require it. We have a large garden with a patio and a sensory area where people can relax or participate in outdoor games and activities.

Community
We encourage each person to make the most of local facilities and to develop interests and activities of their choice. We have links with the local community and specialist facilities, such as colleges, day services and hydrotherapy centres. Sadlers Place is located very close to Walsall town centre, with access to a cinema, parks, museum and bowling alley. Sandwell Valley Nature Reserve provides the opportunity for nature walks and a range of other leisure facilities are available in and around Walsall.
Our Team
Sadlers Place has an activity co-ordinator who supports each person to complete activities of their choice, plan and choose holidays, go on days out and take part, as they choose to, in in-house activities. These activities include exercise, playing musical instruments, painting, karaoke, jewellery making and monthly review meetings.
