Our Home

514 Arnold Road is one of our residential care homes located in Bestwood, Nottinghamshire. We offer support to 10 adults with learning and physical disabilities, autism, challenging behaviour, epilepsy, cerebral palsy and Down’s syndrome.

At 514 Arnold Road, we encourage the people we support to get involved in activities, both in-house and in the community. We help each individual build confidence, independence, and ensure they are living life to the fullest!

We regularly go out for day trips to places the people we support want to explore, and we arrange an annual holiday. We also love a party, hosting get togethers for our families, and Christmas parties every year!

We make sure to celebrate each individual’s birthday and other special occasions. We work with their families to host the celebrations at a venue of their choice, ensuring everyone feels valued.

Facilities

Our home has eight spacious bedrooms, each with en-suite facilities. All of our bedrooms and bathrooms have the potential for ceiling mounted sling hoists and tracking to provide safe, comfortable and dignified support to those who may require this facility.

We also have two flats attached to the main building which consist of a spacious bedroom, a bathroom and a large kitchen/living area. These are finished to a very high specification and can be modified to suit needs as required.

In the flats, our bathrooms have level access showers and the kitchens featuring height adjustable cooking facilities. These flats are designed for individuals who may require less support, or those who prefer a little more space. They allow a more independent style of living, with 24-hour support from our team if required.

We encourage housemates to bring their own belongings and decorate their rooms to their personal style. We also have great communal areas including a large lounge, a kitchen/dining room and an activity room.

Outside, we have a lovely garden with a lawn and a sensory area, as well as a large, level access patio area. There is also a spacious summer house which has been turned into a pub – perfect for socialising and having fun!

Built with accessibility in mind, our home has a lift, wide corridors, and every room can facilitate a tracking hoist if needed. We also have a large, wheelchair accessible car, so the people we support can enjoy trips further afield!

Located in Bestwood, we are a short drive away from Nottingham city centre. Our home has many amenities nearby, including local shops, pharmacies, pubs, a cinema, parks and a church. There is also a GP and a hospital within walking distance from our home.

Our team have great links with the local community, as well as with specialist services in the area, ensuring the people we support can enjoy hydrotherapy or sensory facilities.
