Life around the dining table at Esmer House

Prader-Willi syndrome is a rare genetic condition that is caused by a defect of chromosome 15. This has significant impact on the mental, physical and behavioural well-being of a person with the syndrome. It is most commonly associated with an excessive appetite, overeating, weight gain, a lack of muscle tone and delayed growth.

It’s very important that the people we support with Prader-Willi syndrome have a happy and healthy experience in the service, especially surrounding food.

Listen to the team at our newest Prader-Willi syndrome service, Esmer House, share how they’ve created a happy, healthy home for the people we support, surrounding the dining table.

If you’d like to find out more about how we can support you or a loved one please call our friendly enquiry team on 0800 035 3776 or email them at referrals@voyagecare.com.
